Villa ownership
The only legal option for foreigners to own land in Thailand is a leasing
contract. Thai law allows for leasing contracts up to a maximum of 3 x 30
years. A 3 x 30 years leasing contract also is the legal foundation for foreign
villa owners here at Ananthaburi Residence.
A building however can be owned
by a foreigner. Thus your name will appear in the official house paper of
your villa. The leasing contract is transferable and you may sell your villa
to a new owner at any given time.
